Jay Chou has stated that his latest movie, "The Viral Factor", will be the last action movie he will ever film.
The singer revealed that he sacrificed a lot for the role. Not only did he have to give up his usual look in favor of a more scruffy look, action-hero look, but he also put himself in dangerous situations as well.
His costar, Nicholas Tse, went all out and did his own stunts in the movie, prompting Jay to do the same. Despite being scared for his life, he brave stunts such as moving around in a moving helicopter and jumping stories from a building.
"It was a really scary experience for me. I still remember that fear before each jump. After the first time, there was no way I could jump another time," he said.
Because of the extremes he went through to film this movie, Jay will no longer be acting in action movies.
"I'm going to value my life, so this would be my final action movie as a commemoration of my year as a 33-year- old. I'm going to just film romance movies from now on."
